Our technology team works in small, cross functional squads - forming part of a fun, hardworking and exceptionally supportive team of around 80 engineers. We are looking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer to help us ensure quality across all of our systems.
The Person
We are looking for confident and ambitious Quality Engineers looking for a new challenge. The person should seamlessly slot into our feature teams and proactively lead the quality assurance effort.
The Team
The QA team at Equals is currently made up of 6 diverse, fun and hard-working individuals. We’re spread between the London & Chester offices and are located all across the country including London, Chester, Brighton and Kent! We have established a really strong ‘everyone mucks in’ mantra where we support each other's work-streams wherever and whenever we can. At the moment we are working on a major upgrade
of our multi-currency card platform, FairFX, this has been a landmark project for the company and we’re making the final push to get it live!
The Role
- Collaborate in designing and building automation test scripts using tools such as Cypress
- Support the enhancement and maintenance of our existing automated test suite.
- Assist in designing and refining a comprehensive regression test suite.
- Execute regression tests, ensuring existing product functionalities remain unaffected by new implementations.
- Work closely with senior team members to understand product features, technical specifications, and user scenarios.
- Cooperate closely with developers, promoting early testing ("Shift Left" approach) and encouraging unit and integration tests at initial stages of the development cycle
- Partner with development teams to understand the intricacies of the software lifecycle and the importance of early testing.
- Aid in identifying, reproducing, and detailing software defects.
- Document test results and provide feedback on product quality and areas of improvement.
- Contribute to the evaluation of test processes and suggest improvements.
- Assist in reproducing, debugging, and resolving defects effectively and efficiently.
