We aim to take our place on the forefront of payment disruption, bringing innovative solutions for flawless and invisible payments on the market.The Role:The Quality Control & Testing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the organization by ensuring the high quality, consistency, and adherence to policies and procedures within the AML Compliance Function of Guavapay. This position focuses on providing independent assessment to drive continuous improvement initiatives, and to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance of Compliance activities. Through data-driven decision-making, the Quality Control & Testing Specialist will lead efforts to improve on-time delivery, implementation, execution, productivity, quality, and cost, and environmental performance in systematic manner. This role will contribute to the organization's commitment to excellence by implementing initiatives that optimize processes and drive positive outcomes in the Compliance Department.Key Responsibilities:· Conduct thorough quality control testing on all AML team functions, ensuring the high quality of work, consistency between reviews, and adherence to SLAs, policies, and procedures.· Review the work performed by the AML and Compliance teams and assess current processes to identify opportunities for improvement.· Manage the Quality Control procedure and methodology, including assessing review timelines and sample sizes to ensure efficient and effective testing.· Prepare detailed QC Management Information (MI) reports for senior managers and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to provide insights and recommendations for enhancement.· Support senior management in performing risk-based assessments, issue reporting and management, updating board reports, and providing compliance oversight and challenges on self-assessment reviews.· Conduct self-assessment reviews on internal AML and Compliance functions, collaborating with the first line of business and conducting interviews to gather necessary information.· Identify areas for improvement or issues during self-assessment reviews and raise recommendations to enhance processes and mitigate risks.· Make recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, availability of outside business partners and internal business process improvements.· Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and employees.· Provide support to senior managers in delivering performance reviews to staff, to establish development opportunities and improve AML functions.Requirements:· Proven experience in quality control and testing within the financial services industry, preferably in an AML or Compliance function.· Knowledge of AML Investigations, transactional review, SAR filing, KYC processes, policies, and procedures.· Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.· Ability to independently review and assess processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.· Proficiency in generating detailed reports and presenting findings to senior management.· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate and provide guidance to cross-functional teams.· Experience in conducting risk assessments and familiarity with issue management reporting is a plus.· Ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.Benefits:· 25 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays)· Pension (after probation)· Hybrid working model, Monday - Wednesday work from the office, Thursday-Friday remote· Opportunity to be part of a young, scaling company· Regular staff socials· Flexible workingJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £80,000.00-£100,000.00 per yearBenefits:Casual dressCompany pensionEmployee discountSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:London, EC2M 5QQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):Do you require visa sponsorship for this role?What are your salary requirements?Work Location: Hybrid remote in London, EC2M 5QQ
