Quality & Compliance Manager
The job purpose is to act as a Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ensure that Supply Chain quality standards within Global Supply Chain are defined, maintained and monitored to ensure compliance with all relevant Global Supply Chain (GSC) Quality requirements.
The role can be based anywhere within the EU region.
In This Role:
- Quality Champion for Global Supply Chain Quality, ensuring quality compliance to the QMS and governance oversight for major Global Supply Chain projects
- Act as SME for Distribution related quality standards, including warehouse GDP standards and LSP Quality Agreement requirements, ensuring that the current standards are aligned to regulatory expectations and agreed / implemented by strategic Logistics Service Providers (LSPs)
- Act as the lead for Global Supply Chain Quality to ensure the team meet the delegated responsibilities from Trading Partner Quality Responsible Persons
- Sustain implementation of QMS in Global Supply Chain Quality Councils and act as the Quality Champion, promoting a quality culture and mindset
- Provide oversight of GxP and GDP training material for Global Supply Chain professionals in support of Quality standards
- Provide leadership of internal audits for Global Supply Chain as required, supporting internal and external inspections
- Ensure an effective process is in place for Global Supply Chain Quality Council to capture relevant advocacy topics, emerging regulatory requirements, impact of Quality Alerts/Bulletins and assessment of actions required for PIRCs
- Improve transport temperature quality compliance in the supply chain by working in partnership the Supply Chain Integrity team, sites and strategic LSPs

Basic Qualifications
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Degree in Science or business-related discipline
- Relevant Science (Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy) or Engineering Degree
- The post holder will require significant skills in independent analysis and evaluation of data and processes.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality management, supply chain logistics or manufacturing and/or distribution warehousing environment with application knowledge and experience of quality compliance programs and auditing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of external Good Distribution Practice (GDP) – EU, WHO, US
- Excellent communication, organizational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
- Strong influencing skills and aptitude for working in a matrix environment
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated desire for continuous improvement.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note and graphics applications
- Trained in auditing e.g., GSK ACP, ISO or equivalent
- Preferably a member of a professional quality body e.g. Chartered Quality Institute
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues as they arise together with project management experience
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Qualifications in Auditing of Logistics or Distribution operations would be an advantage
- Extensive knowledge of GSK policies on distribution
- Comprehensive knowledge of GSK QMS and risk management processes
- Extensive internal auditing experience
- Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams and to manage and develop complementary and permanent staff
- Strong analytical and problem analysis skills with knowledge of IT collaborative tools for data gathering and collation of multiple sources of information
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively at a senior level in a matrix organization across geographical and cultural boundaries
