Production Operative (days)– Tiffin Sandwiches Ltd

Rate of Pay: £11.00 per hour

Our company is a well-regarded national supplier of high-quality sandwiches and has been operating for over 25 years.
Due to continued growth, we are now looking for enthusiastic team players that want to join a thriving business within our daytime production teams. We are on the hunt for people that want to work either full time or part time in a supportive fast paced environment with likeminded people. Our part time shifts are two or three full days per week, our full-time shifts are five full days per week. We want hard working people that are looking for a role where they play a key part in ensuring the business continues to succeed by correctly and accurately creating our freshly made sandwiches for thousands of customers daily. The role of production operative is located at our head office in Bradford within our vast production centre and is a refrigerated environment. We provide on the job training and support for all employees from your initial induction to new product training as well as offering internal progression and we believe that it’s this reason we have employees still here from the day we began!

Essential Skills:
· Basic English – In this role you will be required to work with ingredients and quantities, following recipes and ensuing total compliance with food hygiene regulations which will require a basic understanding of English to be able to meet the role expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities -
Complete daily technical and Quality paperwork tasks including label checks ensuring all relevant information is correctly completed.
Complete daily Quality checks and perform any allergen or ATP testing needed.
Monitor all lines in your section for quality and make sure that the right dates and products are on the correct labels.
To ensure all lines are using the correct version of specifications
Monitor hygiene procedures to ensure that they are being adhered to, includes monitor line cleaning the changing of PPE after each run and the end of shift clean downs.
Monitor products and ingredients to ensure that they are in date and within temperature
Monitor all line leaders to ensure that they are completing documentation in real time and all the information is correct.(start up checks, batch codes)
Support team members & Operational team where needed.
Perform plaster and jewellery checks.
Follow monthly GMP and Glass & Hard Plastic Audit schedule
Collect samples and environmental swabs/ raw ingredients for weekly micro.
Filing of all operational paperwork
Upkeep of Approved and new suppliers and their files.
Ensure non-conformances are raised and closed out in a reasonable timescale
Producing all specifications needed for any new products or mixes launched
Overseeing and ensuring all samples for the sales team are produced and packed as required
Perform traceability trace in audits and support management were needed.
Calibrations of all weighing scales and probes (including collection of van calibrations)
GMP Audit
Glass, plastic, and brittle material audit
Trace on product/packaging and raw materials
