Trade Services plays a pivotal role within Commercial Banking and provides traditional trade and lending services to clients across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia & Pacific regions.

Our Trade Services team assists clients from all business sectors to trade both in the UK and abroad by processing import and export trade transactions under the Trade Product suite.

We have a new opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Team. In this role you'll provide assurance that our processes, people and performance, meet the quality standards set out in our procedures, policies and regulatory requirements.

You'll own the process of reviewing and monitoring our controls and the performance against those controls, i.e. how a task is performed, oversight of the controls applied to how the task is performed and the performance of colleagues against these controls.

Your role may be aligned to a particular trade product, but there is an expectation for colleagues to become subject matter experts in multiple products.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review documentation for client and facility onboarding, attending exploratory meetings and collaborating with colleagues to deliver for our customers.
  • Support the Operations Manager(s) in the identification, resolution and remediation of risk events, complaints and post-issue error correction
  • Own, develop and deliver technical guides & training materials and aide memoirs, in support of the Risked Based Checking model and promote a culture of right first time processing.
  • Conduct monthly, quality sampling across products, teams and colleagues, to provide post assurance activity.
  • Become an SME in multiple Trade Products to provide cover for colleagues across the Quality Assurance & Onboarding Team.
  • Act as am SME to own, resolve and respond to technical queries relating to a team, product or area with Trade Services.

We can bring you up to speed on our Group Policies but you'll need to have sound knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to the provision of Trade products, and the environment in which Trade Services operates.

Are you CITF qualified? If not, we’ll encourage you to successfully attain this qualification within 12 months of being in role.

If you possess good knowledge of Trade products, the Trade Processing Lifecycle, procedures and services (including interpretation of and application of standard methodologies) … then this could be the role for you!
