Job description

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading a team of QA manual and QA automation engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products on the ServicePath platform. They will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of our software applications and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the QA team, including QA manual and QA automation engineers. Set clear goals and expectations, provide coaching and mentoring, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement an effective quality assurance strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. Define best practices, methodologies, and standards for quality assurance processes specific to the ServicePath platform.

Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to define test plans, testing procedures, and test data generation specific to the ServicePath platform. Oversee the execution of test plans and ensure thorough and comprehensive testing is conducted.

Bug Tracking and Reporting: Establish and maintain a robust bug tracking and reporting system for the ServicePath platform. Monitor defect densities, open defect counts, and other quality assurance metrics. Analyze and report on test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

Automation Testing: Drive the adoption and implementation of automation testing tools and frameworks specifically for the ServicePath platform. Evaluate and select appropriate automation testing tools and technologies. Collaborate with QA automation engineers to design and implement automated tests tailored to the platform.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools specific to the ServicePath platform. Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA function for the platform.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong collaboration between the QA team, development teams, product management, and other stakeholders involved in the ServicePath platform. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of quality requirements and priorities specific to the platform.

Quality Standards and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements specific to the ServicePath platform. Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies and technologies relevant to the platform.

Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate closely with the customer support and success teams to address customer feedback related to quality issues and ensure high customer satisfaction with the ServicePath platform.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software QA/testing, with at least 3-4 years of experience as a QA Manual Engineer in a product-based company.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and testing methodologies specific to the development and quality assurance of a platform.
  • Experience in designing and implementing test plans, testing procedures, and test data generation for a platform-based product.
  • Proficiency in bug tracking and reporting tools specific to the ServicePath platform.
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools like Telerik Test Studio, QTP, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.

Salary: £55,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
