Requirements:
- Award in Education Training (AET Level3)
- Aviation SecurityManager (ASM Level 3)
- Experienced Certified Instructor Number (CIN) – Accredited by CAA
- Be able to Deliver the following Modules required; GSAT, GSO, GSS, RFX
- Health and Safety Level 3
- Manual Handling
Job Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a strategy for preventing violations of regulation and internal policies and standards
- Assist in Managing a designatedsite security team, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled to the complete satisfaction of the clients.
Main responsibilities/Key Areas:
Delivery of; Aviation Security Ground Security Operative (GSO) Courses, Ground Security Supervisor (GSS) Courses, GSO and GSS annual recurrent courses ·Overseeing National X-Ray Competency Testing (NXCT), CBT and online General Security Awareness
Delivery of any additional security training as required by Mitie Aviation, carry out practical assessments and ensure all certificates associated with this training are issued, retained on training file and approved/signed off by senior Managers as applicable.
Ensure all training records are maintained and updated upon course completion, maintained accurately in line with strong document control.
Oversee, deliver and maintain all records associated with On-Job Training
Carry out Covert/Overt Tests in accordance with company requirements and maintain the associated documents.
Support Compliance Manager to review officer-training requirements upon receipt of TIP data.
Conduct and monitor employee performance on a daily basis ·Maintaining personal CPD as required for on-going accreditation ·Liaise with and provide guidance and advice on departmental activities with other departments within Mitie.
Carry out any other duties as required by the General Manager/Senior Leadership team and or client management team.
- Ensure the correct procedures and regulations are carried out to a high standard of compliance.
- Implementing customer corporate policies and Codes of Practice as directed by the General Manager.
- Regularly inspect all administrative, health and safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up to date Assignment Instructions/SOP's and review annually. Security agents should be assessed to ensure their understanding and compliance (all instructions must be signed as having been read and understood)
- To act as an Ambassador, developing relationships with Stakeholders to promote MITIE's and Birmingham Airport's services.
- Ensuring team is constantly trained to meet leading industry practices.
- Ensure that all contractual training requirements are met and that all certificates are renewed within the correct time frame.
- Make sure that all security officers are aware of the latest training initiatives and are given the opportunity for both personal development and to improve their skill base
- Assist in scheduling and delivering training, as required by the business
- Create reports for senior management and external stakeholders, as required
- review and revise company procedures and standards Assist Security Ops Manager to Manage security and emergency incidents.

- for the customer Constantly assessing risk and taking appropriate measures to deal with that risk
- Support the Security Operations Manager in any area that is deemed necessary as required
- Provide assistance in the vetting process to ensure that all security agents assigned to you comply with BS7858
Role Requirements:
5 years checkable background with no more than 3 month gap
Level 3 Teaching Qualification (Preferred)
Obtain CTC clearance
Hold or able to obtain UK CIN training number
Flexible to work early morning, evenings/nights and weekends when required
Computer literate with strong MS Excel and database knowledge. The ability to produce detailed graphs, charts and reports
Driving License (preferred)
Excellent Written/Spoken English and good communication skills
Good administration skills
