Our studios in Bristol and Cardiff are growing and we are looking for a motivated and creative qualified Interior Designer with a minimum of 1 years’ experience post qualification, who is keen to be involved in challenging and innovative projects.

As a major interdisciplinary building design practice of Architects, Engineers, Designers and Urbanists, BDP offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile projects within interdisciplinary project teams across a variety of sectors.

About you

You will have at least one years’ experience working as an Interior Designer (post degree/qualification) within a dynamic design organisation. Your portfolio will demonstrate clarity in design thinking and technical awareness alongside excellent design skills on a range of medium to large scale projects, preferably in the workplace sector.

You will have a collaborative team-working style. You will be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Ideally, you will have experience of using Revit systems, with the ability to share your knowledge with others.

Requirements

  • Experience in interior design projects design and delivering on UK based projects
  • Demonstrates design flair with both creative and analytical skills, 3d thinking
  • Highly motivated, proactive with a passion for learning new skills in a multi-disciplinary environment. Communicative, Curious, Collaborative, Creative, Conceptual Thinker, Collegiate, Practical, Punctual and Reliable.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, able to manage workload to achieve deadlines
  • Confidence and ability to present and explain ideas
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Knowledge of Revit and proficiency in Adobe Suite
  • Space planning experience highly desirable
  • 3D visualisation skills desirable
  • Experience with FF&E specification and selection desirable
  • Awareness of UK Building Regulations and British Standards
