Job description
You will be based in our Adult Secondary Mental Health Service in Scunthorpe and will cover the Home Based Treatment and Integrated Recovery Team. The Community Team treats many service users with emerging and varied complex needs and presentations. You will work closely with our CBT and Psychology colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team. We offer a range of therapies including CBT and CBT (p), DBT skills interventions, EMDR and Cognitive Analytical Therapy. You will need to have experience of working with people with complex mental health presentations and demonstrate a passion to work with this client group. Your day to day work will be varied consisting of brief and also more comprehensive CBT assessments, formulations and treatments. There will also be opportunities to deliver and/or be a co facilitator with our group treatments. We are in the process of developing our Primary Care Network and Trauma Informed pathways to support timely access to psychological therapies. Your role will be key during this, particularly acting as a CBT clinical expert.
Regular clinical guidance and regular supervision will be provided. We would expect you to have good interpersonal skills and be a caring, responsive and a motivated team player. Providing evidenced based interventions is important and the candidate will be committed to further training and skills development. RDaSH are proactive in supporting and develop staff into becoming specialist practitioners.
To work as an autonomous clinician providing Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapeutic assessments and treatments to adults with a range of psychological and emotional disorders
To act as a specialist in the field of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), providing advice and education to Trust staff
To provide advice, expertise in all aspects of CBT to clients, carers and significant others
To provide Clinical Supervision to peers and CBP trainees and delivering CBP
