An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a full time Qualified Associate Practitioner within our older adult inpatient ward based at the Crystal Centre, Chelmsford. This is a unique career opportunity to become a key member of the nursing team. You must be enthusiastic, motivated with good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. You must be a team player and willing to go the extra mile for our patients’ care.
You will be responsible for assisting in the management and care of service users based upon individual needs, under the guidance of the Ward Manager, and in providing practical support to service users in performing day to day activities, guidance and education. You will also act as a mentor to students and junior staff, and be responsible for supervising unqualified staff.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

Assist in the management and care of service users
Produce accurate and timely documentation/ records on all clients in line with relevant codes and Trust Policy
Contribute to assessment and observation of service users and provide relevant and time feedback
Assess and support service users in activities of daily living
Support with housing and benefit claims, employment and paperwork
Undertake physical health care checks of service users and act on the findings
Provide practical support to service users carers
Under supervision of a registered clinician take part in assessing, planning and reviewing care
