Your role
We are looking for an exceptional individual to develop and manage systematic, quantitative equity strategies within our QIS structuring team. The role will involve:
- Research and development of systematic quantitative long-short and long-only equity strategies
- Work on the full lifecycle of a strategy: idea generation, development, coding, marketing, documentation, trading, and supporting clients
- Collaborating with sales, trading, quants, structurers, research, and others in a fast-paced, global investment bank front office
- Presenting and marketing ideas and products to clients and colleagues within UBS
- Generating marketing material and technical legal documentation
- Building bespoke solutions tailored to client needs
- Developing enterprise-standard Python code for product R&D and analytics, including backtesting and production
- Working with other members of the QIS structuring team to develop cross-asset portfolio products and solutions

The QIS structuring team is a leading global team of structurers with expertise in quantitative research, portfolio construction and management, and expertise in equities, derivatives, commodities, fixed income and FX products and strategies. Members of the team work with colleagues in sales, trading and more broadly across UBS to develop solutions for a full spectrum of clients across the world.

Your expertise
- 3+ years of experience working with systematic cash equity strategies in a QIS team or on the buy-side
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise under pressure
- Familiarity with long-short equity risk premia, developing alpha signals, and equity factor risk models
- Experience with portfolio construction techniques and optimization
- Advanced knowledge of Python, with knowledge of VBA, KDB, R, Matlab and GIT or similar ‘nice to have’
