The Vacancy
We have an exciting new opportunity for a QC Analyst to join our team in either our Manchester or Cardiff location.
Offering a hybrid working model, you can split your time between home and office.
Our QC Analyst will focus on point in time outcome testing, to assess whether fair outcomes are being achieved within Motor Underwriting.
What your day will look like:
- Acting in accordance with quality control testing processes and procedures at all times.
- Performing quality control testing in line with the defined sampling approach and methodology.
- Completion of quality control testing activity to the highest quality, whilst achieving productivity targets.
- Applying appropriate judgement in assessing the outcomes of customers and whether this constitutes fair treatment.
- Completion of a defined testing checklist, which provides a clear view on the customer outcome and any associated root causes.
- Participation in team calibration and/or levelling sessions to promote consistency of QC checking activity.
- Engaging with feedback from analyst monitoring activity undertaken by QC Manager and/or 2LoD teams and actively addressing any developmental areas identified.
- Completing any required remedial actions in line with defined SLA’s.
- Escalation of appropriate matters to QC Manager.
- Driving continuous improvement by highlighting any inefficiencies and assisting with the design of effective solutions.
- Acting in accordance with the defined training and competency scheme, including the completion of mandatory training and CPD activity.
What you will bring to the role:
- Previous, demonstratable experience in a quality assessment and/or customer outcome testing role
- Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations in the requisite area (i.e. MCOB and CONC regulations) and awareness of what constitutes fair customer outcomes
- A commitment to ensuring customers receive fair outcomes
- A holistic mindset which considers all relevant factors when reaching conclusions
- The ability to work to deadlines and effectively prioritise tasks
- A high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
- Effective listening and notation skills
- The ability to provide written content which is clear and concise in its messaging
- Strong verbal communication skills which can deliver feedback in a constructive manner
- Resilience in relation to the receipt of constructive feedback
