We're looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join an established team of testers to support & grow the role of testing in the Welsh Community Care Information System (WCCIS). WCCIS enables social care, mental health, community nursing and allied health professionals ensure that quality care and support for individuals, families and communities is more effectively planned, co-ordinated and delivered. WCCIS is a key digital initiative for Welsh Government and is set out in the 'A Healthier Wales' plan.
The national WCCIS programme team has been established to work with local authorities, health boards and regional partnership boards in Wales, in order to co-ordinate activities and deliverables across a number of workstreams.
You will be a key member of the WCCIS Programme Team, and you will work collaboratively across Wales with Heads of Services, Executive Leads and Welsh Government.

Working within the WCCIS National Programme Team you will help to deliver in the following areas:
- Maintain an excellent level of system knowledge from both practical use & analysis of documentation, discussions with colleagues, etc.
- Ensure that the software delivered is of the quality expected by the programme, as well as protecting interfacing NHS Wales software from harm.
- Building and maintaining detailed, accurate test scripts which are appropriately mapped back to designs and requirements.
- Providing informed and accurate estimates based on detailed, methodical analysis and supporting the estimates of others.
- Developing programming skills to deliver automated solutions which reduce repetition within testing.
- Testing of mobile & web applications, alongside any integrations with NHS Wales systems.
- Reporting test results both within and outside of the test team.

As a Test Analyst on the WCCIS programme you will be responsible for:
- Creation and maintenance of test scripts & traceability of test artifacts.
- Maintenance and growth of regression testing packs for the WCCIS system.
- Analysis of information and materials in a variety of formal and informal formats to improve testability, build test deliverables & improve quality of systems.
- Informing the test approaches used and accurately describing these to ensure test plans and strategies remain reflective of the applied approach to testing.
- Analysis of tools and maintaining/developing the skills to use these.
- Ensuring test deliverables are completed in the timescales agreed with the project, including accurate tracking and monitoring of testing progress against plans & defects against the defect management process.
- Representing the interests of testing and the test team at project meetings, which may include senior & external staff.
- Maintaining relationships and communicating effectively with all levels of staff, including technical and non-technical staff.
- Maintaining a good awareness of technology trends both generally and within testing specifically e.g. Operating Systems, Mobile Devices, Web Browsers, Test Execution/Performance tools, etc.
- Developing an expert level of knowledge in the system under test and sharing that knowledge with others.
