The Role:
Tag Games Studios is on the hunt for a QA Tester who will play an instrumental role in testing a world-leading, cross platform IP played by millions of gamers. You will be working closely with other disciplines ensuring that the game and its features are tested to the highest level.
Here's what you will be doing:

Manually testing the game, including Exploratory & Destructive testing and scripted testing
- Creation of effective test cases and test scripts
- Creating clear and detailed defect reports
- Planning and executing in-depth test plans
- Documenting test processes
- Be creative in building test scenarios
- Tracking testing towards deadlines to ensure on-time, quality delivery
- Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure features are of a high quality
- Participate and contribute in multi-disciplinary meetings such as Stand-ups, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives
- Identifying and escalating risks within the products
- Identifying, maintaining and updating bugs in JIRA
- Contribute ideas towards the continuous improvement of our processes
- Performance testing across a range of platforms and devices
- Using Debug Tools to test the Game
- Potential to participate in Automated testing
- Testing Releases as part of LiveOps
To do this job, you will need:

Experience and / or an understanding of Exploratory / Destructive Testing
- Confidence to communicate effectively with teams
- Able to identify, explain and record details accurately
- Understanding of Test Cases
- Understanding of how to test and find defects in video games
- Awareness of deadlines and corresponding actions that need to be taken
- Ability to think of numerous permutations when testing
- Strong critical and problem solving skills
- Ability to break complicated tasks into manageable chunks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical and analytical mindset
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise workload
- An appreciation and strong understanding of Mobile, Console and PC gaming platforms
While not required, below are nice to have:

Successfully held a QA Tester role for the entire life cycle of a project
- Software or Video Games related degree
- Industry experience in testing on multiple platforms, including Mobile, Console and PC
- Experience in creating Test Cases
- A coding background
- Strong understanding of the QA process within an agile environment.
- In depth knowledge of bug tracking software used in the industry e.g. JIRA.
- Understanding of localisation processes in video games
- Experience using tools such as XCode, Unity and Android Studio
- Experience using Source Control such as Git or GitLab
- Experience of automated testing, such as Postman
- Experience in LiveOps testing
