Job description
An exciting opportunity has opened for a software tester in a small software team. You will be working in a small team on world-class innovative enterprise software in the theatre of political campaigning. You will need to demonstrate a passion for software testing, where you can add value throughout the development lifecycle and have a keen eye for detail. You will be working closely with both QA and Development team members, as well as other stakeholders within the company.
Experience & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring release are up to the expected quality standards, testing using automation and manual testing. The software you will be testing, includes Web Applications, Mobile Applications and API’s.
The key skills required are;
- Experience in Web Testing, both manual and automation across different platforms and browsers.
- Experience of Mobile Testing and API’s.
- To have a Detailed, logical, and diligent approach to testing, including Documenting and following test plans.
- Experience working in an agile / waterfall environment, from working closely with the development and product teams to understand requirements to produce the testing plan, to managing and prioritizing work to help to deliver tight deadlines.
- To be an effective communicator of issues to developers / product teams / stakeholders as well as providing feedback to other team members.
- Experience with using bug tracking tools and Source Control for Automated tests and Knowledge of IDEs such as Visual Studio.
- SQL Knowledge to do simple queries to verify tests / set up
- You should have achieved ISTQB Foundation or higher
It would also be useful to have some of the following skills;
- Exposure to load testing
- Application Security Testing
- Experiences with web automation testing
The recruitment process for successful candidates will involve a telephone interview, followed by a face-to-face interview often followed by a second face-to-face interview.
