Job description
Purpose of role:
These are the types of duties, you will be responsible for:
Directing the team to deliver the quality management system including the internal audit plan in order to ensure compliance with customer, manufacturing unit, legislative, divisional and strategic requirements.
Providing information and demonstrating operational practice in support of external audits to enable compliance with customer requirements.
Continuing to develop the capability of the QA team through the Technical Strategy.
Monitor departmental KPI’s adjusting team activity to ensure targets are achieved.
Plan and maintain resource utilisation in order to advise the required QA tasks.
Lead and deliver a project(s) to create business effectiveness and cost efficiency.
Deputise for and provide cover for other members of the Technical team in their absence as required by the Factory Technical Manager.
Complete all tasks and ad hoc projects as directed by the Factory Technical Manager.
Ensure ad hoc projects of the QA team are captured and that deadlines and objectives are met to the correct level.
About you:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Internal audit experience
Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate level 3
Relevant food manufacturing experience
Excellent IT skills inc. related technical IT packages
HACCP principles and practice
Allergen awareness-implications / related to labelling
Nutritional awareness
Shelf life determination and awareness
Hygiene and disinfection principles
Basic micro awareness
Principles of risk assessment
Legal labelling –basic requirements
Basic knowledge of Weight legislation
Knowledge of technical KPIs
