Job description

We have a great role for an experience QA Inspector to join a leading Footwear and Accessories Brand.

Working closely with the Product Technologist and Buying teams and warehouse teams you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the product at Good in stage; comparing against shipment samples to approve bulk from the suppliers.

As a key liaison for goods in/bulk production you will ensure that our Client’s reputation for outstanding quality is maintained and delivered by the international supply chain . You will also be responsible for overseeing the QC fail process; within the warehouse supporting any QC fails and the teams involved through rework. You will thrive from working in a fast-paced time critical role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing & documenting all incoming stock to AQL & brand requirements.
  • Assessing bulk deliveries for product quality, correct labelling against Gold seal samples.
  • Sample management of internal samples and product specifications to be passed to our internal QC team.
  • Drafting up Shipment approval specifications using PLM and issue to suppliers.
  • Work closely with product technologist & Buying team to ensure the steady flow of goods through the warehouse is achieved in a timely manner.
  • Proactively arrange meetings with relevant stakeholders to cascaded information & action points.
  • Manage the assessment and reporting on supplier’s performance at QC check stage, with a key focus on pass/ fail/ commercial approvals for each supplier. Report to the wider business and incorporate into formal seasonal supplier assessment documents.
  • Ahead of each season liaise with the logistics team to select product for QC checks using the supplier performance report to inform decisions.
  • Work with product technologist & warehouse staff to resolve any deliveries that Fail suppliers AQL checks. Updating AQL reports to be shared with suppliers. Able to spot problems/issues and proactively seek a way to resolve them.
  • Work with the Product Technologist to put in place supplier improvement plans/ corrective action, with clear goals and requirements to support improve bulk production- monitor and report on progress.
  • Highlight any needs for any 3rd party QC inspections if needed before goods leave the factories.
  • Work as the link between AQL issues and the product Tech/buying team ensuring bulk issues are highlighted and communicated for future season improvements.

Skills and experience required

  • Good sense of commerciality.
  • Needs to be very good at solving complex problems, communicating and managing large projects.
  • Experience working as part of a QA Team and have great attention to detail.
  • Experience working with third party processors.
