Job description
The QA Engineer is a key member of Salesforce team, responsible for delivering innovative SaaS technology solutions by analyzing business needs and applying analytical methods to enable data-driven decisions.
The QA Engineer – Salesforce require the competency to understanding the requirements and execute testing tasks to ensure that the developed products meet the design specifications and adhere to the quality expectations.
The QA Engineer – Salesforce will work on a range of data and technology projects that focus on Lead to Cash systems and processes. The QA Engineer will also work on highly visible roadmap programs and acquisition integration projects. The QA Engineer will report to an Assistant Vice President and will work closely with business Analysts, software developers, solution architects, testers and DevOps engineers.
A successful QA Engineer must be an individual contributor who can develop test strategy, test cases, test automation, requirements traceability matrices and status reports. On any day, the candidate could be doing any or all of the following:
Analyze requirements, develop a test strategy and test plan, build and execute manual and automated test cases, track defects and report results.
Perform functional, smoke, integrations, data migration and regression testing.
Ensure that business requirements are mapped to the functional specifications and have sufficient test coverage Coordinate test strategies in collaboration with business analysts, project lead, vendors, and application developers.
Liaise with the development team and key business users in Agile development projects - attending scrum review meetings and develop targeted test plans and cases.
Work towards more efficient ways of testing using the best tools/methodologies.
Defect management by conducting Defect triages for troubleshooting and investigating nonconformance and address the issues with accuracy with various teams until closure.
Publish progress reports, defect statics and presentations.
Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, software engineers, testers, project managers, and architects.
Monitor recurring platform enhancements or updates including Salesforce releases and/or integrated platform releases.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Salesforce Administration Certification is desirable.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance for CRM platform, Integration and data migration projects.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Salesforce.com testing.
Minimum 2+ years of in JIRA as a QA Engineer .
Minimum 2+ year of experience of Salesforce Lightning experience.
Experience with Selenium test automation tool is desirable.
Knowledge of CPQ implementation in Salesforce is desirable.
Strong knowledge of Integration and Data conversion testing is highly desirable.
Strong Knowledge of SOQL & SQL data query languages is highly desirable.
Strong communications, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to present quantitative and technical concepts to both business executives and technical teams.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing methodology.
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
