- Multiple years' experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially excellence in technical communications with peers who may be remote
Key job responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
- Work closely with engineers and business owners throughout the development and testing lifecycle, review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
- Drive the creation of test plans and test cases, efficiently execute test cases across all functional and UI areas of our products
- Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Participate in and lead test planning efforts and communication of status
A day in the life
The successful candidate is a strong individual contributor, capable of understanding business requirements and converting them to understandable test cases, driving test execution, capturing errors and automating those test cases.
QAEs would be trying to understand application performance, functionality and features to great depth which would enable them to report issues and also take ownership in automating the repetitive tasks.
QAEs are highly accurate in performing application tests, reporting the behaviour, ensuring that there is no ambiguity while reproducing issues and that high quality and accuracy is maintained throughout the application release without compromising on deadlines.

- Several years of test engineering experience
- Several years of experience with debugging and automation testing tools (Appium, Selenium, Jenkins, Postman, Charles Proxy, etc.)
- Experience with tools and frameworks like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TestNG, and TestRail
- Knowledge in CI/CD processes and tools
- Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectivenes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
