Unily was founded in 2005 and we have now partnered with private equity firm, CVC in order to achieve our goal of tripling in size by 2026 - in both our customers and our people.
Our dynamic team is rapidly evolving, and to support our business growth we are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, reporting to a QA manager within the Product Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of manual and automated tests for the Unily product.
Main Responsibilities
- Active participation in agile ceremonies
- Create, execute and evaluate the results of test cases
- Perform smoke, system integration and exploratory testing
- Perform cross browser/device testing
- Create automated test scripts (UI and API)
- Maintain and update existing automated test scripts
- Monitor nightly build test runs and report on any failures
- Conduct testing manually where appropriate
- Report on bugs found during testing
- Defect retesting and validation
- Produce test execution summary report
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Strong testing experience of web applications
- Broad experience in a range of testing types and techniques
- Professional test automation experience
- Experience using a 3rd party platform such as Sauce Labs or Browserstack to run tests on real and virtual devices
- API testing (manual or automated) including use of tools such as Postman
- Awareness of industry standards and latest developments with test automation tools and practices
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- VSTS or Azure DevOps or equivalent
- Experience with an Agile environment where Development teams practice CI and BDD
- Experience with any non-functional testing
- Experience of Azure or similar cloud services
Bonus points if you have knowledge of experience of the following:
- Knowledge of Selenium ideally using C#
- Knowledge of GIT
- Experience with mobile automation (Appium)

This role reports to our EMEA HQ based in Godalming, Surrey and we operate on a hybrid basis, you will ideally be able to join us in the office regularly.
