London Based Fintech
Permanent – £45-55k per annum
Our client, a market leader in the Store credit/gift card space is looking for a QA Engineer to join their growing development team. They work on a hybrid and flexible basis, you’ll initially work on-site in Shoreditch, London but once passed probation have the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week.
They work with some of the biggest retail & eCommerce brands, this role will provide you with the opportunity to grow in your experience testing large B2B platforms and websites as well as internal business systems, to ensure the highest level of quality.
As a valuable member of the Development Team, you will work with key stakeholders within the business to ensure software meets quality standards and requirements.
Ultimately, you will need to work seamlessly across the whole team to identify and create best-in-class quality products that are delivered on time and meets or exceeds the expectations of the client and your team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing test plans and procedures.
- Executing manual and automated tests.
- Analysing test results and reporting defects to development teams.
- Constantly reviewing applications and suggesting improvements to user experience.
- Working with development teams to resolve defects.
- Stay up to date on software testing methodologies and tools.
- Participate in software development meetings.
- Document test results and findings and working them into release plans.
Technical Experience Required:
- Over 4 years’ experience in a similar role/environment.
- Knowledge of version control systems (ideally Git and Atlassian)
- Exposure to Microsoft web development environment (C#, MVC, .Net Core, WebAPI)
- Good understanding of client-side/frontend web development (JavaScript, JQuery, Frameworks such as Angular, Vue, React)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration (e.g., TeamCity/Octopus)
- Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber OR Appium etc.)
Soft Skills
- Confident in your ability to take responsibility for your own workload.
- Able to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues across the IT team and the wider company.
- Good communication skills – always happy to speak up, but also listen to critique with open ears.
