Job description
- Development of new automated tests that ensure the quality of new feature development covering functional and non-functional tests
- Drive improvements to Quality Assurance
- Adherence to standards and best practices
- Ensure knowledge is spread across squads and teams
- Work as “one team” to ensure deliveries are on time and to a high quality – becoming “T-shaped”
- Analyse failing tests – triage, then deep dive to surface root cause
- Help identify areas of improvement i.e. Test run times or code effectiveness
Commercial experience in testing systems that incorporate micro-service architectures and web applications

- Java
- Automation framework – Junit or Cucumber
- BDD and TDD tools and techniques
- Data creation and curation
- API and web services (REST)
- XML/JSON
- SQL
- Working with source code repositories
- DevOps practices and principles
- AWS/Azure cloud services
- Working with large databases
- Linux/ Unix
- Jenkins
- Jira & Confluence
- Docker
- Tools: Git, Maven, Apache Tomcat
- ISTQB Foundation Certification (minimum)
Behavioural
- Analytical approach to defect resolution and remediation
- Well organized – able to plan own work and track progress against a plan
