The Role:
An experienced, motivated, and versatile individual with experience in a startup environment. Ideally with a demonstrated history of implementing Risk process and procedure.
Reporting to the Credit Risk function, the role will focus on oversight of the manual underwriting process. Primary concern is the monthly review of each underwriter, as well as more specialist reviews into the a given area. The analyst will work closely with the oversight side of the Risk function to ensure policy is aligned across the underwriting floor of all geographies.
Responsibilities:
- Review the work of each underwriter to ensure consistency and accuracy and summarise the outcome and provide feedback on areas to improve.
- Report to senior risk members on performance. This will include both underwriter performance and gaps in the policy that need to be addressed.
- Perform focused investigations into areas identified elsewhere and report on findings.
You have: (Specific skills)
- Quality Assurance & Oversight
- Senior Underwriting experience, ideally of unsecured lending
- Policy Creation, implementation & maintenance
- Comfortable with regular interactions & collaboration with Operations and Compliance
