Staff Power Group is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance and HSE Assistant to join our clients team. Working under the Technical Director you will ensure the safety, quality, legality and authenticity of all products manufactured and sold by the Company. To ensure products and packaging comply with specifications and customer requirements. You will be the site point of contact for third party HSE enquires and compliance management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support all site visits with regards to technical, quality and audits.
· Ensure Quality and Technical KPIs are managed on a daily basis including validation of HACCP and CCP checks, completing required checks to support the operation.
· Be a ‘shop floor’ presence to support teams in production.
· Champion and drive the ‘audit ready’ agenda at their production facilities. Overseeing continuous BRC accreditation delivery with quality and production staff. Support the development of robust procedures that meet the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety in manufacturing packing and warehousing operations and following up non-compliances.
· Provide technical support, advice and expertise to coach and train the team to the standards of BRC, food safety, quality and legality for internal and customer standards. Ensures team members are fully engaged in the pursuit of quality improvement in product and process. Leading a Total Quality approach.
· With direction from the Technical Director, ensure that all site documentation is maintained inline with standards including latest HACCP, TACCP & VACCP
· Responsible for ensuring the delivery, and compliance of the internal audit schedule in accordance with BRC standard
· Own the customer complaints logging, investigation, corrective action and consumer responses.
· Customer liaison for technical queries and information requests.
· Control performance ratings of all suppliers, including periodic minuted reviews to prove performance.
· Manage and develop the technical relationship with the companies suppliers and identify product or supplier risks, establish root causes of non-compliance and develop technical improvement plans to mitigate.
· As the business continues to grow, identify and deliver gap analysis in standards whilst working cross functionally with an array of customers, suppliers and manufacturers.
· Implement Food Safety Culture plan within the business and seek continuous improvement.
· Deputise for the Technical Director in their absence.
Tasks are inclusive of:
- Daily and weekly checks (glass and hard plastic , temperatures, knife checks , QA line checks )
- Site sampling matrix. SOL, EOL
- Allergen / hygiene verification and annual validation studies and upkeep of the site Allergen Risk Assessments
- GMP audits , Hygiene Audits , Allergen Audits against site matrix
- Responsible for the verification and calibration of onsite measuring equipment
- Generation of line Quality Attribute Sheets
Working hours are Mon - Thu 07:00am - 16:30pm and 07:00am - 13:00pm on a Friday. Due to this clients location you must have your own transport.
