The Testing Team is part of the Technologies and Platforms branch and handles all testing services for the programme and live operations. The team consistently delivers a quality service and our QAT practice helps us maintain and improve the services needed for delivery. We're a small, diverse team with plans for future growth and we're excited to welcome new members who can help shape and develop our practice and ways of working.

DDaT Pay Supplement
This post attracts a £5000 Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) pay supplement after a 3 months DDaT competency qualifying period. The payment will be backdated to your start date in the role.
Pay supplements are temporary payments designed to address recruitment and retention issues caused by market pressures and are subject to regular review. This post is part of the Scottish Government DDaT profession. As a member of the profession you will join the professional development system, currently BCS RoleModelplus.
Job description
- Review and propose changes to requirements to ensure they are testable.
- Assist in the creation and management of test plans.
- Create test cases and review test cases developed by other testers.
- Assist with test data creation and other test cycle set-up activities.
- Execute test cases, capture relevant test evidence, and raise, review, and retest defects.
- Promote testing best practice and continuous improvement.
- Assist with test reporting.
Person specification
2. Experience of designing and executing a wide range of testing techniques and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
4. Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively, where required as part of a team.
