Country Style Foods is a modern-craft, artisan, family-run bakery business, with a history of over 150 years in the industry. We have been producing the highest quality bakery products for over 60 years, supplying leading supermarkets and food service customers throughout the UK.

As a member of the QA team, you will carry out tasks including day to day auditing of the site/area (GMP, CCP etc.), routine calibration and sampling checks as required by the site Quality Manual. We are recruiting for a QA to join our Technical team, working 4on/4off 18:00 to 06:00 to provide valuable support across the shift.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor the quality of product from all lines by patrol and inspection
  • Ensure that products from all lines are audited daily and any non-conformance is brought to the attention of the shift Supervisor/Manager and record action on the process to be taken to resolve the issue
  • To carry out all good manufacturing practice (GMP), Critical Control Point (CCP), glass etc. audits as per the schedule
  • To carry out all sampling plans (product, micro swabbing, etc.) required
  • Ensure that Quality Assessments and Taste Panels are taking place to the agreed frequency
  • To ensure that all diligence paperwork is audited and corrective actions are generated as required to prevent reoccurrences of the issues highlighted
  • Check the quality of products against specification, colour standards and the standard of workmanship
  • To carry out calibration of food safety equipment (temperature probes, scales) as per the required schedules. Report any faults to the Engineering department
  • To monitor product weights, temperatures and quality standards to the required schedules
  • Conduct traceability and mass balance exercises when required
  • Ensure you promote a culture of high hygiene standards and that all team members maintain it
