Title: Purchasing Officer
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Location: West Molesey, Surrey (near London)
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Salary: £33,000 - £39,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits

Job Profile:
As the Purchasing Officer, you will plan, organise and control the purchase of goods and services to support factory operations.
This role is suitable for a Purchasing Officer who has a background within Purchasing or a similar role, you'll work utilising our MRP/ ERP System, and be confident with Excel to an intermediate/ advanced level.
You will adhere to deadlines, clearly collate, report and utilise information within purchasing, all whilst managing the complexity of the purchasing process, and have a friendly and personable nature.
As a Purchasing Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement best practice purchasing activities and strategies.
- Develop and prepare inventory forecast reports.
- Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Develop and maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs, including calculation and maintenance of purchase planning master data.
- Ensure that all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates and managing costs.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3-5 years experience in a Purchasing or similar role
- Have a strong knowledge of MRP / ERP
- Intermediate - Advanced level in Excel
- Have strong and clear communication skills
- Manage multiple tasks effectively
- Be able to effectively manage complexity
- Live within commuting distance from West Molesey
Desirable, but not essential experience:
- A background within manufacturing
- An understanding of application of product within customer process
