About the Position
BEST ITALIAN UK LTD is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing activities in Manchester. This individual will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all purchasing activities for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and a demonstrated ability to work with other departments to achieve goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage all purchasing activities for the company, including vendor relations, vendor management, procurement and inventory management.
- Ensure that all products are in stock at all times.
- Manage the timely delivery of products to customers.
- Ensure that product prices are appropriate for all customers.
- Ensure that product returns are processed in a timely manner.
- Maintain departmental records and files in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Work with Purchasing Manager to ensure that all requirements of the ISO9001:2015 program are being met.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies as needed.
- Work with Purchasing Manager to develop cost effective purchasing programs that will drive ROI for both company and employees.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Only experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements: This position is hands-on; however, some moderate to severe lifting may be required as well as occasionally standing; walking up to 10% of day; climbing stairs; driving up to 20% of day; sitting; standing; working at heights up to 25% of day.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
