Purchasing Assistant Job at Leach's

What will you be doing? This role will be to assist the Purchasing team in the day-to-day running of the purchasing within the company, ensuring all computerised and paperwork systems are correctly maintained and to actively participate in:
· Placing Purchase Orders, following up suppliers for confirmations and delivery dates, liaising with and communicating ETA’s to the sales team
· Assisting with forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels;
· conducting research, sourcing and negotiating to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
· liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments;
· identifying potential new suppliers, building and maintaining good relationships with them and existing suppliers
· Collating delivery information and putting on Orderwise (Company IT System)
· Updating all relevant spreadsheets
· General planning & Procurement
We are seeking a keen and reliable candidate for this role, who is detail driven, numerate, has excellent IT skills computer literacy Word/Excel/Other, has in depth understanding of systems and their implementation. Excellent telephone manner, polite & genuine. Previous purchasing experience desirable.

Salary: £26,000.00 per year
