We have an excellent opportunity for an Purchasing Administrator, to join CAN - a successful, energetic and friendly company.
CAN works in the civil engineering, construction and energy sectors. This role is responsible for placing purchase orders to carry out the projects.
Responsibilities will include assisting Project Managers with purchasing administration duties, including but not limited to:
- Procurement of equipment, materials and hiring/ off hiring of plant
- Booking transport to and from sites
- Control of suppliers and sub-contractors, including liaison with suppliers to negotiate prices/discounts/rebates
- Ensuring sub-contractors evaluations are completed and that their performance is monitored and recorded
- Ensuring stock supplies are maintained
- Administration of waste transfer licenses and notes
The successful candidate will ideally have the following experience and expertise:
- 5 GCSE’s A-C grade, including Mathematics and English
- Excellent use of IT packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good communication skills
- Strong administration skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- It would be preferable to have previous experience in the Construction industry.
