An opportunity has arisen to join our team as a purchasing administrator.
Working in the purchasing department the main role will be to support the existing team at all stages of the supply chain to ensure that material flow in all areas supports planned production and related functions. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Placing purchase orders
- Progressing and expediting purchase orders
- Processing purchase order confirmations
- Liaise with the sales team on; product queries, stock queries, price queries
- Liaise with suppliers
- Liaise with managers and supervisors across the business with any queries or issues they may have
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to effectively communicate via email
- A friendly demeanour and positive attitude
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel are essential. Training on our own ERP system will be given
Although this role has skills and experience which would be beneficial these are prerequisites and we are keen to hear from anybody who feels they could effectively fill this position.
