Appointment Type: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: 40 hours per week. Working pattern to be flexible in line with the needs of the business and agreed with the SDC Director of Operations.
Location: St Kentigern’s Parish Centre, 36 Wilbraham Rd, Fallowfield, Manchester M14 7DW
Salary & Benefits: £14.48 per hour (£30,118.40 per annum), 20 days holiday, plus statutory bank holidays, employer’s pension scheme
About: SDC Trading is seeking to hire a suitably experienced Parish Centre Manager to plan, organise and provide high-quality food and beverage services to customers and visitors to the centre in accordance with all food hygiene, health and safety and other legislation. The post holder will be the nominated person for the venue’s premises licence with relation to alcohol sales.
Role: The Parish Centre Manager will be responsible for developing a commercial offer which responds to the needs and demands of the venue’s users and maximises income generation by developing offers to respond to changing trends and opportunities. They will manage the business in a professional and friendly way to attract trade and encourage loyalty amongst customers. The post holder will ensure that all activities enhance the centre’s reputation as a valuable church and local community resource, as well as lead a team of staff, ensuring they are provided with clear and concise instructions regarding their duties and accountabilities.
Person: The successful candidate will be experienced in planning, organising and providing high-quality food and beverage services. They will be able to manage the operation effectively in accordance with all food hygiene, health and safety and other legislation. They will deliver optimum financial results by managing and controlling key costs and margins while ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness of all areas is maintained to an exceptionally high standard. They will be able to successfully manage a team and engender high levels of staff morale and team working.
