The Cost and PO Coordinator will oversee the entire process of purchase orders and COGS calculations. The ultimate goal of this position is to drive consistency and efficiency in the PO creation process, Cost of goods calculations and payment submissions to finance.

Overall the role of a Purchase Order and COGS Coordinator is critical for ensuring a smooth supply chain, controlling costs, and optimizing operational efficiency. They play a vital part in the overall success of a business by ensuring timely procurement of goods and managing costs to maximise profitability.

It's essential that you have relevant experience in a similar role for an e-Commerce company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generating and processing purchase orders based on requests from the supply chain team
  • Collaborating with all teams to ensure consistency from order creation to final payment
  • Verifying and reconciling incoming purchase orders against the agreed-upon terms and conditions.
  • Monitoring the status of purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery, and resolving any issues or delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation.
  • Calculating the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for each product, which includes the direct costs associated with the production or procurement of goods.
  • Monitoring and analysing changes in COGS to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate recording of COGS in financial statements and reports.
  • Conducting periodic reviews of cost structures to optimise profitability and competitiveness.

ABOUT YOU

  • Must have current or prior experience managing inventory and/or purchasing for an e-commerce company (Preferably Amazon private label)
  • Experience working with Purchase Order systems and COGS analysis
  • Someone who is already deeply involved in inventory management
  • Highly analytical and a problem solver
  • Takes initiative and a self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and achievement-oriented
  • Excellent proficiency in English (Both spoken and written).
  • Ability to plan and execute strategies independently that align with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Asana, Slack, Excel, Google, Office, Loom

Hours- 40 per week. This role is fully remote with flexibility required.
