It is an exciting time to be involved in health, wellbeing and community support in Doncaster. The Doncaster Growing Together Borough Strategy has set out to change the way that public services deliver community support. Our ambitions are being realised through our inclusion in two national programmes which will test place-based, community-led health and wellbeing approaches across Doncaster.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for improving public health and wellbeing to join our Well Doncaster team. The team undertake community-centred approaches to addressing the health and wealth inequalities of the community and the programme has been recognised nationally for our strengths-based approach. We are looking for an individual who is experienced supporting a strength based, community focused team who can demonstrate a working knowledge of supporting social policy projects.
The role will primarily provide business support for the Community wealth Builder project including; performance monitoring of activities, providing support to social and community enterprises, planning and organising events, publicising activities via Facebook, Twitter and the Well Doncaster website and the management of inboxes and diaries.
The role will also provide high quality support to the wider Public Health Team to address health and wellbeing challenges in Doncaster. This element of the role will involve undertaking research, collating findings and summarising evidence, undertaking financial administration and providing administrative duties.
