The Role:

Joining our Hampshire and Isle of Wight Public Health team, you’ll support the team to successfully procure and contract manage a wide range of Public Health commissioned services, projects, and interventions.

You’ll provide project management to enable the Public Health Contracts, Procurement and Legal Group maintain an overview of all our public health contracts and you’ll act as the central point of contact for all commissioning enquiries.

Assisting with the procurement process, your organisation and negotiating skills will support you to input to service specifications, invitations to tender, tender evaluations and support the mobilisation of new contracts.

Using your excellent communication skills, you’ll represent Public Health and either Council at multi-agency meetings / events as required, and provide advice, facilitation and training to support the commissioning process.

With a thorough understanding of commissioning, procurement and contact management, you’ll have relevant experience of working in Public Health or Local Government and a proven record of managing projects with minimal supervision and at pace.

You should have an interest in Public Health and improving the health and wellbeing of our residents through supporting high quality commissioning of key services such as Health Visiting, School Nursing, Sexual Health, Domestic Abuse, Substance Misuse and Weight Management.

Travel:
You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority, and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
