Job description
The Role
Are you interested in training to be an NHS 111 Health Advisor and looking for the opportunity to work from home in Ashford, Ipswich, Basildon, or Norwich? Are you available for 12 to 37.5 hours per week including some weekend work? Are you able to handle calls with a calm, professional and empathetic manner? If so, we would love to hear from you!
We are looking for new NHS 111 Health Advisors to join our rapidly growing network of home working colleagues to start training in August and September 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team with base salaries between £22,426 and £24,675 per annum (pro rata), and with additional overtime earning potential. A fresh start and a high-quality onboarding programme are on offer, and we proactively encourage and support our Advisors to quickly progress through the ranks as a Coach, Service Manager or Team Manager.
We provide fully paid training and career development opportunities, the NHS pension, and a competitive pay framework to progress through. This role will be home based with training and support from one of our nearby care-coordination centres; Home is the most inclusive and sustainable work location and home working is the way forward at IC24.
We need NHS 111 practitioners in your area who are patient focused, empathetic, and with the personal resilience to support patients who are often in distress. As a Health Advisor/Call Handler at IC24, you’re the first point of contact for our patients. When our patients dial 111, you’ll be the voice at the end of the line. It’ll be up to you to deliver sometimes life-changing advice, triaging a wide range of calls and providing safe, effective assessment and non-clinical advice using the NHS Pathways System.
Whilst this role is predominantly hybrid working you will need to travel to your assigned office (either Ashford, Kent, Ipswich, Basildon, or Norwich) when required. This will include attending a contact centre for further training and/or face to face support and guidance.
This is an exciting time to join IC24. If you’d like to find out more about what it takes to join our team, then please email [email protected].
