LEGAL & CORPORATE AFFAIRS ASSISTANT
Guelph Office

Full-time, Permanent

We are currently looking for a Legal & Corporate Affairs Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for legal administrative support and corporate contract management, along with providing coordination for trademarks and intellectual property (IP).

What you will do:

  • Manage the corporate document/contract records management system
  • Draft and/or review contracts and corporate documents
  • Conduct legal research in support of business matters
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and coordinate activities to support corporate legal matters
  • Monitor and coordinate the business’ trademark portfolio
  • Provide administrative support of the business’ IP portfolio
  • Review legal and other related invoices and coordinate payment

What you will need to succeed:

  • Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Diploma complimented by 2-3 years corporate law experience
  • Exception attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Professional communication skills with experience working with external legal counsel
  • Ability to work in collaboration with various business leaders across the company and the executive administrative support team
  • Strong MS Office skills
