DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Administrator, the Clinician will plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and promote a six-bed crisis residential treatment facility for the stabilization, support, and treatment of adolescents who have mental/_emotional disabilities. The program is for psychiatrically diagnosed, acute, or sub-acute, adolescents who require 24-hour supervision and intense structure. The program's primary goal is to divert patients from hospitalization or act as an alternative to hospitalization, and to re-integrate patients into the community. The Clinician is responsible for oversight related to patient-related and/_or clinical issues in compliance with (1) State and federal regulations and (2) Sunol Hills, Inc., policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1.Oversee therapeutic group and family content and support with providing resources to Families.
2. Provide direct clinical services, including individual and family therapy, and group
therapy, as needed.
3.Coordinate with all persons involved in client treatment to include, but not limited to:
case-management team, treatment coordinators, physicians, and supervisor to assure
continuity of client care.
4. Be knowledgeable of adolescent development and working within a family system
framework.
5. Supervise clients and interact with them in the milieu, teaching and modeling appropriate coping skills.
6.Complete accurate and timely charting in accordance with the Quality Assurance Standards and Medi-Cal/Medicare guidelines and requirements and in line with Agency Policies and Procedures, including completing Shift Summary in Best Notes at end of shift.
7. Coordinate with persons involved in clients' care, that is, treatment staff and therapists to ensure continuity of care.
8. Protect consumer rights and maintain residents' confidentiality. Always assure clients’ safety.
9. Maintain a teamwork ethic through collaboration and communication with staff.
10. Develop cross-cultural awareness of culturally diverse client populations and apply appropriate interventions in assisting them with any socio-cultural issues.
11. Participate in implementation of a cohesive treatment program and assure that the
program operates as scheduled and is in keeping with the structure, rules, and
philosophy of the program.
12. Provide supervision of clients and have a clinical and working knowledge of crisis
prevention and intervention. Be able to operate effectively in a crisis.
13. Attend and participate in all required meetings as specified by the Program Administrator to include, but not limited to, staff meetings, staff process group meetings, and training.
14. Participate in risk assessments, as needed.
15. Complete all required training by date due, e.g., HIPAA, California Abuse Reporting,
Sexual Harassment, CPR/1st Aid, and other as needed, and provide copies of
certificates to Program Administrator and/or HR designee.
16. Communicate all medical concerns to supervisor and psychiatrist, as needed.
17. Maintain professional, personal and firm boundaries with all clients; know the rules and follow through.
18. Follow all health and safety requirements, including annual flu shot and PPD test. 19. Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and Sunol Hills, LLC, Policies and Procedures.
20. Comply with Sunol Hills, LLC, policy requirement to submit proof of valid CDL, DMV
printout, maintain good driving record, and submit proof of auto insurance for current
period of coverage.
21. Complete personnel required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
22. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education/License: Master’s Degree and/_or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health or a related field. If Master's level, must be registered with BBS as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW), Associate Clinical Social Worker (AS_W), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).
Experience: Four years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting and experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication. Experience with adolescents (ages 11-17 years) preferred.

Good Judgement: Must be able to consistently apply good judgement, using available resources, company policies in the context of each individual situation. Teamwork: Must be supportive and helpful with team members; must assist co-workers by upholding and reinforcing company policies and requirements conveyed to clients. Mental Abilities: Must be able to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities. Must remain pleasant and positive while interacting with clients. Must be able to think critically and manage a difficult population. Physical Environment and Tools: This role is performed in a 24-hour rehabilitation/clinical environment. It requires the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, fax machines, computers and filing cabinets. The job is sometimes performed outdoors, e.g, taking clients on slow, short walks, weather permitting. Must be able to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather. License Required: Must have a valid California Driver's License in good standing with proof of auto insurance.
