Job description
Are you looking to work on the frontline of an organisation that ends cruelty, promotes kindness and alleviates suffering to animals?
We're recruiting an Animal Care Assistant to join us at our Felledge Animal Centre in Chester-le Street on a permanent basis to provide care for all animals in the centre, establish good customer relations, maintain administration and health and safety procedures.
At Felledge we can house up to 60 cats and 40 dogs at one time. All the animals that come to the centre have been rescued from cruelty or neglect, and our staff work hard to rehabilitate them and prepare them for a new life with caring and loving adopters.
Our vision is a society where no animal suffers unnecessarily. Some animals that come to us have been mistreated, kept in awful conditions or left without free access to food or water. They may arrive terrified and it's up to us to try and work out why and bring them round to trusting people again. We do this on a daily basis with a dedicated team that we're extremely proud of
