Job description
To assist in the assessment of children and young people and families with complex mental health needs. To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a clients problems, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist. To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups for young people and their families/carers under supervision. To work alongside other team members and ensure close liaison and communication within the team and with colleagues in other agencies.
To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings, reflective practice sessions, team formulation sessions, referral meetings and multi-agency meetings where appropriate. To support young people taking the QB test. To undertake school observations when needed To assist with the delivery and scoring of psychometric tools This post will include 2 days contribution to the OVVAT project. Please note: New starters have a 6 month probationary period.
This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale. Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
