We are delighted to announce that we have a full time, permanent Assistant Psychologist post available in the NHS Borders primary care mental health service which is called Renew.The post will include managing referrals to our digital interventions, co-facilitating CBT courses for anxiety and depression alongside qualified psychologists, data collection, audit and delivering manualised guided self-help interventions. The post holder will be line managed by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Renew.
We are also recruiting to a number of fixed term posts supporting Adult Mental Health/ Older Adult Mental Health / Substance Misuse and supporting work around the Transforming Psychological Trauma Training and Implementation. These post provides a solid foundation for any candidates wishing to go on to further training within psychology. The post involves working across the Scottish Borders which has a population of approximately 114,000 in a rural setting.Many of our staff currently work from home at the moment, however, we have an office base with hot-desking available.
We are a relatively small but friendly staff group and we aim to provide a supportive environment to facilitate professional development. We have close links with the University of Edinburgh/NES Clinical Psychology Training Programme and provide core and specialist placements for trainees.
We are in easy reach of Edinburgh and many of our staff are based in the capital. Some use the train or car share to make the journey to work and we are happy to advise on travel times and routes.
