Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary Cleft Lip and Palate team to offer psychological care to those born with a cleft lip and/or palate across the lifespan. You will be part of a welcoming and growing Clinical Psychology Department which incorporates specialisms in Paediatric Psychology, Adult Medical Psychology and Child and Adult Neuropsychology.

Working for our organisation

We regularly have trainees from the DClinPsy courses around the region, so there would be opportunities to supervise trainees. You will also be involved in providing consultation, training and supervision as required to others within and outside of the multidisciplinary team. The department has a commitment to clinical research. Strong support is available to participate in research or to develop your clinical research interests.

Appropriate clinical supervision will be provided by clinical psychologists working in the adult medical psychology service. Currently, the post will be supervised by a very experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist working within Cleft Lip and Palate.
