We are looking for passionate PWP’s looking for new experiences outside of IAPT Services. We are an innovative Occupational Health provider who can see how the skills of experienced PWP’s can be expanded and utilised within our sector. We provide full training and mentorship in Occupational Health so that combined with your PWP experience you can offer detailed and evidence based assessments of mild to moderate mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression and offer advice regarding fitness for work. In addition, you will provide step 2 intervention to a range of employers via telephone, teams and group interventions.
Skills and Experience:
- To have undertaken the `Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy` course and be fully qualified as a PWP
- Minimum of 18 months post qualification experience working as a PWP
- Able to achieve clinical outcomes and meet agreed performance targets
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Demonstrate high standards verbal communication including completing telephone and video consultations
- Demonstrate high standards of written communication with attention to grammar, spelling, language, and punctuation
- Able to develop effective therapeutic relationships with clients
- In depth knowledge of anxiety disorders and depression and how they can be supported by evidence-based interventions
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the issues surrounding worklessness and mental health
- Be work focused in your approach and acknowledge work is good for mental health
- Ability to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
- Ability to be self-reflective of practice and in personal and professional development and in supervision
- Knowledge of medication commonly used in anxiety, depression and other mental health difficulties
- Awareness of complex mental health diagnoses
- Experience in assessing suicide and self-harm (IAPT based or from other mental health services)
