We currently have the exciting opportunity for a Provider Operations Manager to join our team based in Redhill, Surrey on a hybrid contract. This role attracts a base salary up to 50k depending on experience.

This role is accountable for the Provider Operations function (part of Network Management). This includes responsibility for provider payment queries and monitoring, and other financial and administrative processes associated with providers and reimbursements. It also helps to drive effective claim and job cost management through effective functional leadership along with the gathering and acting on insight.

DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

  • Responsible for leading the Provider Operations team, covering provider accounts payable and other associated administrative roles relating to providers
  • Collaborating with the Network Management and reporting functions
  • Normal working hours are Monday to Friday (09.00-17.00)
  • 3rd party provider contact and internal collaboration
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be an active contributor to the overall leadership of the Network Management Team
  • Collaborate with the Network Managers around priorities, complex provider issues and trends
  • To ensure the right framework exists to lead a team settling provider invoices and customer reimbursements within agreed terms and that invoice disputes are addressed and resolved quickly
  • To provide balanced feedback, guidance and coaching to the member of the Provider Operations team without Network Management.
  • Manage forecast volumes and resource to agreed budgets and productivity measures
  • Develop and maintain suitable tracking and reporting on KPIs for the function
  • Gather useful insight to support effective cost and provider management and lead on agreed actions
  • Ensure a diligent approach to periodic provider rebate processing
  • Develop and manage an effective financial recoveries process, agreeing the approach with network managers
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of providers, and associated due diligence steps
  • Take care that relevant approvals are obtained relating to financial and contractual matters
  • Highlight any potential fraud and have controls in place to monitor the risk
  • Adhere to the necessary segregation of duties involving payments to providers
  • Ensure a framework is in place covering all processes within the team’s remit to optimise external spend
  • Encouraging excellent communications to all job interfaces
  • Maintain acceptable levels of quality and data accuracy
  • Ensuring that all protocols for the delivery of good service are kept current, compliant with regulation and that they are adhered to.
  • Maintain trust and confidence to ensure updates are credible.
  • Where necessary , create or update presentations for internal/external senior management
  • Collaborate with other departments

  • The ability to get things done / deliver results to agreed customer standards
  • Influencing skills, you will need to work with several departments to ensure that you support the department in reaching its full potential, so it is essential that you are able to communicate efficiently with each department and demonstrate flexibility in this role.
  • Working with external suppliers

Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of drawing meaningful functional and financial insight and delivering value from acting on it
  • Experience in leading teams across multiple administrative tasks
  • Experience in working with external providers
  • Knowledge of cost control processes
  • Intermediate level Excel
