We are looking for an experienced Prototype Manufacturing Technician to join our team specializing in manufacturing for Components Business Segment in Huddersfield.

This is a permanent contract working 35 hours per week. Monday – Thursday 7am-3pm and Friday 7am-12pm, with potential of night shifts.

Salary is up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Manufacture complex components working directly from engineering drawings with a pro-active problem solving approach using a range of manufacturing methods and equipment
• Interpret and understand complex engineering drawings and models
• Engage in improvement activity within work area to improve operational performance
• Ensure quality is maintained to engineering standards and drive quality ownership
• Create and develop documented procedures while engaging in best practice
• Drive continuous improvement activities relating to manufacturing methodologies
• Communicate with other members of the department to ensure workflow and customer requirements are met

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience
• Grinding experience (essential)
• Manufacturing background
• Computer literature
