Job Role: Freelance proposalWriter
Location:Remote with occasional on-site workshops
Start date: June and July
Duration:Varies but 6-12 weeks
IR35: Outside IR35
Clearance Level Needed: Ideally BPSS
Pay Rate: £500-£600 a day dependent on experience*
Residency: Must be UK resident and based in the UK

Roles:

We are looking for freelance proposal writers who have experience of writing on procurement proposals particularly in the government sector (DGS).

We have two projects starting shortly, the first in the 3rd week of June and another at the beginning of July.

Preferred skills:

Innate organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
Strong time management and organisational skills - ability to thrive in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
Trained and strong working knowledge in Microsoft® Word, PowerPoint®, and Excel® Teams® (essential) as well as Adobe Creative Cloud suite (desirable).
Strong collaboration skills, balanced with assertiveness and creativity.
Strong English verbal and written skills.
Familiar with journalistic approach to writing.
Capacity to manage large documents with multiple versions.
Results oriented with the ability to get things done.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in constantly changing environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Work outside core hours, as required.

Other information:

Two areas of expertise sought are:

Project one – Facilities Management – 6–7-week project length
Project two – Rotary wing aviation – 12-week project length

You must becurrently authorised to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for five years for clearance purposes. If you are already BPSS cleared, this is an advantage.
You will need to demonstrate your experience of having written for large procurements.
The contracts are full time, typically 35-40 hours a week, but the hours can be worked to suit personal circumstances. We would expect associates to attend regular online (and occasional on site) meetings, but other than that you can work around your personal commitments (subject to delivering to key deadlines).
There may be a requirement for occasional on-site meetings, but largely the work will be undertaken remotely.

We operate an associate model and would hope to be able to offer successful candidates future projects to work on.

Relevant training and orientation will be given ahead of the projects starting.
