Job description
- Provide coordination and project management for proposal writing.
- Prepare project plans, do follow-up and engage teams and parties involved.
Make sure the proposal is submitted by the RFP deadline by setting priorities and deadlines for information gathering, drafting, review, approvals and delivery.
Manage the timely production and delivery of proposals. - Analyze and understand the requirements of Requests for Proposals (RFP), plan and develop proposals that will meet those requirements.
- Write and edit proposals for readability, consistency, and appropriate tone describing company capabilities, management approach, and/or past performance.
- Work with specialists and staff to develop and write the technical and administrative content of proposals, based on the RFP requirements.
- Coordinate the layout of all information based on the RFP requirements and corporate standards, and communicate with the client regarding details, follow-up and feedback.
- Work closely with the graphic design team to come up with attractive visuals.
- Assist with special projects requested by Business Development, Operations, and Marketing personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field and three years of experience writing proposals for RFPs.
- More than three years of experience in project and priority management.
- Excellent organizational skills (time management, priority setting, flexibility) and proven accuracy, discipline and thoroughness.
- Nerves of steel and excellent ability to handle pressure and multiple deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with others under tight deadlines and handle several tasks at once.
- Experience in technical writing and in professional and business writing and revising.
- Quick learner and critical mind, sound judgement and ability to make situation-appropriate decisions based on an appropriate analysis.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills, in French and English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience working in a large organization where things move quickly.
- Some broader communications experience/knowledge beyond proposal writing.
- Experience in human resources, pension consulting and/or asset and risk management, or promotion of health and wellness, or disability management is an asset.
- Knowledge of content management software and tools is an asset.
- Bilingualism (spoken and written French and English) is an asset.
