Job description

We are seeking a full-time or part-time renovator to join our team in darlington.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the position is to be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all interior and exterior of the commercial building. The renovator will be expected to maintain the appearance and condition of all interior and exterior features, work areas, equipment, and fixtures. The renovator will also be expected to perform duties related to HVAC maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair. The ideal candidate will be a skilled tradesman with a broad knowledge of construction and exterior maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to exterior surfaces of buildings including painting, caulking, stuccoing, etc.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to HVAC systems including installation of new systems or replacement of broken or damaged units
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to plumbing systems including installation of new or replacement fixtures
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to electrical systems including installation of new or replacement components
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to heating systems including installation of new or replacement components
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to carpentry including installation of new or replacement furniture
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and repairs to plumbing system(s) at the building’s exterior (e.g., water service lines, drainage lines etc.)
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installs electrical system(s) at the building’s interior (e.g., electrical outlets etc.)
  • Perform maintenance and repair duties related to HVAC (including troubleshooting and repair)
  • Assist in maintaining records (including time sheets) for shift laborers who perform work performed by shift laborers on other employees’ equipment (e.g., power tools etc.)
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas inside the commercial building (i.e., parking lot area, walkways etc.)
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all outside property (i.e., parking lot area etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or company management (punctual attendance is required).

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; the ability to drive a variety of different makes and models of vehicles; the ability to pass a drug screen; the ability to climb ladders; the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; the ability to stand for long periods of time; the ability to use common sense; a willingness to learn; a team-oriented mentality; a positive attitude; excellent communication skills; an attention to detail; reliability; flexibility; initiative; professionalism; enthusiasm; enthusiasm for learning new things; an interest in renovation projects; strong organizational skills; strong leadership skills; an understanding of basic plumbing principles; understanding of HVAC principles is desired but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
