Job description
An opportunity exists to join our Brighton College International (BCI) team as Projects Officer (Architect), with effect from 1 September 2023. This new post has been created to support the BCI Projects Director, who is responsible for ensuring all international schools carrying the Brighton College name are designed, built and maintained to a premium standard.
Brighton College - awarded the title of 'School of the Decade' by the Sunday Times - is consistently recognised as the UK's leading co-educational independent school. Brighton College was one of the first UK independent schools to take its distinctive approach to education to markets beyond the UK. The Brighton College International (BCI) group now has schools in Abu Dhabi (established 2011), Al Ain (2013), Bangkok (2016), Dubai (2018) and Singapore (2020). The family of schools is continuing to expand, with Brighton College Vietnam opening in Hanoi in August 2023, and Brighton College Prep Kensington opening in London in September 2023. In terms of building and interior design, the aim is to ensure that all schools reflect both the "house style" of Brighton College UK, and their local cultural and geographical context.
Brighton College International has a vision to create a growing family of world-class international schools, that reflects the high-quality premium education offered by Brighton College UK. The Projects Officer (Architect) will be involved in supporting Brighton College’s partners overseas with the design and development process for new schools, in addition to the refurbishment and maintenance of existing premises. This role represents an exciting, professional challenge for a candidate with a proven track record in architecture and interior design, together with experience in the construction industry.
