Associate Mobile Engineer

The Role
This is an opportunity to get your foot in the door as a mobile developer and to work on an app that has over 1 million customers using it. You’ll be brought into a well-established team where you will be taught the ropes, after which you will then have the opportunity to make changes that will be viewed by all the users of the Tesco Bank mobile app.
  • Add new features to the mobile app.
  • Maintain existing functionality.
  • Bring new ways of working and technology in the app.
  • After your training you will be working on introducing new features into the mobile app.
  • You will be writing code in swift, Apple’s preferred software development language and working with people from all over the business including scum masters, product owners, other developers, and designers.
  • You’ll be involved with various activities all revolving around the SAFe scrum framework. These activities include daily stand ups, PI planning, retros and discussions around new features that are being proposed by the business.

Essential:
  • A degree in computer science or similar and understanding of OO principles and practices.
Desirable:
  • iOS mobile software development experience, these skills will be used to help maintain and augment the existing Tesco Bank iOS mobile app.
